Covergirl Lashblast
To give you a better view I zoomed in on my lashes. This is using Covergirl lashblast in black. I am trying to find a really good brand to extend and thicken my lashes but for using a drugstore mascara they look decent in pic. I don't know the proper technique for curling but, if I only curl them once then apply mascara they fall out of the curl and look flat. So, I find it highly effective to recurl them after every mascara application. Currently I am looking into Lancome or Shiseido mascaras since I have heard great things online. But, I am looking for recommendations! I am seeking that awesome fake lash look! Lush and full. Oh and ignore the eyebrows I am still in the process of shaping and tweezing!

Happy New Years Eve
Today I tested out more of my cherry culture order. I also got my woot shirt it is Mr.Groundhog. It snowed here and it is dark I feel like it is bed time already. New Years isn't the best so far. Sorry about the weird pic just being a goof. Welp I am going to wrap things up quick hold on tight. So, quickly what I have on is NYX powder and Revlon colorstay foundation. I have Lashblast mascara by covergirl on, amuse eyeshadows, and NYX round lipstick in herades.I curl and coat my eyelashes three times. Oh, and I used Amuse eyebrow kit. Thanks all happy new year!

Cherry Culture: A Virgin No More!
Aw ha! I got my first Cherry Culture order I am damnnnnnnn pleased!!!! This stuff
rocks. NYX is hardcore and my haul has really enlightened me. Here I am reviewing flirt makeup filling up my time but darn it, I haven't seen anything yet till today. This makeup is high quality and a bargain buy. Now, I really am blushing thanks to cherry culture! To think all this time my praises have been finally answered by a five minute order I placed. Girls you better go and I mean quick. The kettle is whistling I may have to order my second haul today wouldn't wanna buy it all out on yah. =D
Okay! I'll contain my excitement so I can tell you what I got!
In order from Top to Bottom:
First Picture: Amuse Eyebrow Kits $3.00 each. I picked these because they are 3 bucks for an eye color and three stencils which I didn't capture sorry. The one on the left is Medium Brown and the one on the right is Dark Brown. I didn't know how true the colors were to the pictures and which would work best on me so since they were dirt cheap I got both. The stencils are awesome the first time I have ever used stencils and it made a BIG difference! The dark brown was truest to my real color and it didn't apply heavily so I didn't look like a hairy monster! I love this you have to get it! I can tell it is going to last me a long time! If you're scared of the hairy eyebrow monster look don't worry order the color you think matches you! Great buy.
Second Picture: These are two eye color color palettes by Amuse. Awesome pigmentation and blends well. They are very sparely but surprisingly they worked. Some how the sparkles blended nicely into the deep colors. If they didn't offer such a great color pay off these would of sucked! But, they are great.I love the browns and neutrals. I believe one is called Golden and one is Pink princess. The one on the left would be pink princess it has cooler shades. They are just gorgeous again nice price! The total for both of them was $8.00.
Third Picture: This is NYX Mosaic Powder in Champagne. Now, you'll want to know about this one. I thought it was going to have lighter colors in it but it is very dark. I gave it a hard tap after and so I applied it lightly. Despite being so rich and brown it comes off very beautifully if you apply a little. It is amazing and the package is sturdy. I would say any NYX Mosaic powders are a must and fun to have. I will be using it has a blush. $6.50.
Fourth Picture: This is just a big picture but what I want to focus on is the NYX foundation and powder. These are tricky because normally I wear ivory or any light colors. However, the powder in this image is light beige and the liquid is natural. They were perfect for my skin tone but I do tend to have yellows more than cool tones in my complexion. These were great and left my face baby soft. What you really want out of these products is the powder it is amazing and the applicator is nice and soft. These cost $ 12.00 each. I highly recommend the powder it will give you a photo shop finish. And definitely pick the image color on the cherry culture site that matches you accurately don't be swayed by the names. I thought light beige would be too tan for me and it wasn't.
Skipping to the Lipstick Picture: These are NYX's round lipsticks. Starting on the left we have Sierra, Herades, and NYX. They are all very flattering and offer superb even application. If you already own Herades and love it you might like NYX. NYX has a similar tone just a little bit lighter and intense with a metallic sheen. It is cute worn lightly as a stain. These were all silky and great. They were warmer colors.
Well that is it for now thank you for reading! I just got these today so I will update more about my experience later. =} <3

Yes Man
I saw this Christmas day and at a good time because no one was in the theater! Loved this movie and I recommend it to everyone including couples. It would be a great date night movie. Yes Man incorporates a message to the audience about the tragedy of our closed off and mundane lives while allowing the opportunity for sighs of relief and laughter for the viewers to lighten the reality for those who say, "No" far too often. It was heartfelt and witty so you could laugh at the main character while identifying with his situation. Though it is vulnerable that I am putting myself out there I have had those moments where I felt shy and like a recluse because I didn't think I was worth it. But in summation, it was just an overall awesome movie and it won't disappoint you! <3 I am going to get this DVD. GO GO GO!! Beautiful and funny worth seeing it twice.

American Beauty Lipstick Vs. Flirt
The color I purchased by American beauty is Autumn Kiss and it is amazing and offers a better quality than Flirt lipsticks. It has a smooth finish and makes your lips look younger. The colors are true to what they are advertised as and they have less sparkle. Autumn kiss is a nude shade but it isn't heavy and as brown as it comes off. If you have a big collection of nude colors I'd skip this purchase because it is a popular shade. This lipstick provides a solid tone and can be blended for lighter coverage. Great quality, retails at $12.50 I would buy more of this for the price. Meow Meow =->

Skin Care
I recently traded my Alba jasmine and vitamin E moisture cream for Alba's sea lipid daily cream. Sure I love to accidentally test a product out, a little slip of the hand into a package doesn't hurt sometimes. This stuff made my fingers velvety smooth and I couldn't wait to put it on my face. The result was smooth skin and a soft and supple appearance. My face is renewed and the ingredients are harmless. For instance, sunflower oil, shea butter, algae, kelp, and vitamin E are on the label. It smells and and feels good honestly a great purchase.

When I flirt I Misbehave
My first lipstick from Khol's department store and it cost $10.00. It goes on smoothly but it dried up my lips. I don't know if this is a common problem or I am just unique =). Dry lips in winter not fun. So, the color is warm and dark. I think it is sexy but not an everyday shade. I had a hard time getting an even application so I recommend a lip brush. I give it props because I don't own any other shades like misbehave(yet). But on the other hand, I probably wouldn't buy another flirt lipstick in the future unless I loved the color.
ps, I didn't have a lip brush. I am getting my brush set in a week or two so wait for an update with lipbrush.

Claire's
It isn't my fault I had to shop for myself while buying my little cousin a gift everything was sooooo shiny. I had to get my "buy two get one free" earrings! I haven't even shopped at claire's since hmm, say 10 years ago. But I was surprised that they didn't hurt my ears like they did before. No lies here, they aren't the best quality to you have to take better care of them if you want them to stay around for a year or two.
I love the earrings I picked keep an eye out for them. The only ones I had problems with were the dangley colored stars and I thought they were going to be the best. They were too dark so they didn't pop but the other two did!

Milani and Rimmel Mascara
Today I wore Rimmel Magnify Mascara which got the job done. I posted some horrible pictures (still working the kinks out in the new camera) you can see how it turned out. I find that it isn't dramatic and the black pigment isn't deep enough to give my eyelashes a lush, full look. Also, the eyeshadow I tried is called Taffy #10 by Milani. I would say any of milani's eyeshadow are going to give you great results. So, if there is a particular color you love buy it Milani to save some $$. Don't opt for a different brands with a look a like, other brands may lack quality.
*Raff Rawff Raff* *RAFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF*
This color would look great on someone with cool tones!! Oh, sorry about the eyelash curling. I was in a rush lol. Yeah, my eyelashes are lengthy someone once said, "Oh my gosh, you look like a bat." LOL those lashes are so damn long especially when they are straight. Oh well, Thank you God I think...

Olives Please
It does not matter if it is the super market, if beauty buys are on sale, I'll be there making a selection. With that said, wow, St. Ive's new and improved line is the bee's knees. When I use the olive scrub, it is like I'm sticking my head in the center of a bouquet of olives and aromatic flowers. This facial scrub is both delicate and clean-smelling, which brings a therapeutic dimension to my shower and I am digging it. As far as it's properties the consistency is not like a scrubber but more like a moisturizer. Instantly, my face sucks this stuff up! I feel it makes my face look younger, and it relieves me of stress so I am completely refreshed after I rinse it off. St. Ives olive scrub is great as a secondary cleanser, I usually follow up with a second cleanser that mositerizes after using an oil stripping harsh product. Yay for 50% off mark downs! The full price is around $8-9 so I will be watching for another sale.

Milani Vs. Physicians Forumla
Oh, the difficulties of finding the ideal powder foundation! The perfect powder to me is bendable, doesn't cake, and offers a substantial amount of coverage. I put Milani and Physicians Formula to the test to see which is more ideal. First here is a description of each.
1. Physicians Formula Pressed Powder Organic Wear- This compact offers great coverage and makes your skin feel soft. I am impressed that it is organic.
PRO'S- Great coverage, improved my skin tone and texture, easy to apply, portable, no mess, has a mirror, matched perfectly.
CON'S- Sometimes I found the product looked cakey when I used too much. Also, it had a tendency to make my skin look dry and flaky.
2. Milani Minerals- Be careful when I walked into my bathroom I accidentally bumped my hand into the door causing the bottom cap to fly off and powder to escape everywhere. The packaging is not sturdy.
PRO'S- Good coverage, produced a soft look, and was very bendable.
CON'S- The packaging sucks. It is messy to use so I wouldn't travel with it.
CONCLUSION: I loved that physicians formula helped my breakouts! No matter what I'd still use this product despite cons because it controls my acne. But, of course it would be a waste to make this a tie. There has to be a winner, so I say Milani Minerals took gold; the appearance was superior. I had great results with it, I loved my complexion after each use.
Researching reviews on the inter web helps me narrow my choices when selecting beauty products. Thus, I have to give credit to one of the reviews I read that motivated me to test the Milani Powder. The post I read on beautybunny, said that Milani's Powder is better than the one and only, prestigious, pimped out-Bare Minerals! I had to try it and I am happy I did. You can find more reviews on the link below. Thanks guys! <3

Loving this!!
Yes, a drugstore product that gives my lips that tingly burn comparable to LipVenom; Maybelline volume XL seduction lip plumper, if you've tried it you know its power! If lip gunk that burns and makes you feel like Pamela Anderson is your thing, then welcome botox alternative Maybelline. Definitely, wish I was born with it! But sadly, this girl was not I have small lips. Thus, I prefer lip gloss to lipstick because it stays on better and gives my lips more dimension. Because it reflects light it tends to balance other facial features that are done up. And, lip gloss always looks cute with curled eyelashes, very sweet.
The two colors I tested and approve are inspiring iris and proud pink. They applied smoothly and the pigments were perfect, not too strong and definitely not weak. I honestly think the colors would flatter anyone! Burn baby burn.

Movie Recommendations: Fall Movie Must I
Incorporating other topics into a beauty predominating blog is going to be an obstacle but, I am willing to press for things I am passionate about including decorating, shopping, candles, beauty, and movies! Oh, and there is more to said list I promise.
Anyways, if your crazy about the seasons and love to experience and celebrate nature's changes then you might enjoy cozying up with a good movie. Movie night is a must for those who are season fanatics. With an ambient warm room and a nostalgic film, you can encompass and invite the sense of fall or winter into your house. The emotions, colors, and content of a film can be visually therapeutic and a great way to hype up your excitement for the holidays. From now on, being a major fall lover, I will be positing movies that make me smile and hopefully others too.
Fall movie must numero uno is... James and the Giant Peach! The tones in the film includes some oranges and browns, and they are mostly warm. Jame's spooky caretakers project an evil and haggard visage that can give you the creeps. It is a cute family film and I enjoyed watching it.

Maybelline Mineral Power
The best thing about your local drugstore is when the clearance section has been stocked up with marked down beauty. Both of these mineral blushes were priced down to $2.69. However, the question is would I pay full price ? I am still undecided. They only have minimal pigmentation. Therefore, versus Covergirl blush, which I love, Maybelline minerals are sub par; they have no staying power. They aren't superior despite that they are mineral based. I do like mineral makeup because I have blemished skin and mineral foundation has helped control it. Overall, these pigments, classic mauve and simply coral, might be better suited for those who have sensitive skin. Not me!

Intro.
Hi everyone, welcome. My name is Ashley and I wanted to share and review my experience with beauty products and other consumer products so you don't throw your money down the hole! In reality, we all don't shop at Sephora every weekend and we all can't spend hours shopping, though we'd like to. I know the travesty of competing with other chicks to be flawless and not all of us were blessed with smooth skin and flawless complexions. Let me do the hard work, I'll pick up your slack, just sit back and hear me out- some things out there aren't worth trying! Not all products are equal and there are plenty that are inferior.
So, for all of you out here who can relate let me share my history. I have lived in the Bay State Massachusetts since birth. I am 21 and in college pursuing my goal and dream to a nursing career; this path has been challenging and I'll keep you updated on my studying. In school, I was just average and felt like an ugly duckling. No one every lended me advice, and growing up with a mother who is a tomboy doesn't help. Therefore, through self driven exploration, I had to find my own path to feel more confident in my skin. It has only been better! After seeing other beauty blogs I felt inspired to share so tips. Tips from an average humble girl who understands the sensitive subject! Well, the pleasure is mine. Awesome to meet everyone please post your experiences and history here!
